Equipment needed is a Theraband (wide stretch exercise band) and racquetball ball which can be found here: Jenyne Butterfly HOME STUDIO ESSENTIALS

4-5pm Pole Moves

Modifications can be made to accommodate. Pole will be on spin with static option available. looking forward to creating new combos for you each week.

Beginner Pole

Welcome! Have you seen something (or someone) that sparks your interest? This class is like a first date or “the first 6” where you are really just getting to know each other. How exciting! Designed for those who have never touched a pole, those who have but maybe took a break and would like to ease back in, or those who want to brush up on the basics. We will move around the base of the pole and do some spins. We will play and get you familiar with your pole, when you feel ready (and can pass the prerequisites) you will move to the intermediate pole class. Highly recommend adding stretch classes to accompany this level of practice.

Prerequisites for this class: NONE

What you learn: Climbs, grips, sits, Jasmine, Apprentice, Star Reach, Figurehead, inverts, leg hangs, and other 3-4 contact point moves, low pole combos.

Intermediate Pole

Ahhhhh, the boyfriend stage. Now that you’ve developed a liking to your pole, you’re ready to dive into a relationship. It will require a little more work and the reward is very exciting. You will definitely experience exponential growth during this stage and start to develop your own style. Not everything is for everyone and this is where modifications start to come in. The beauty of pole is there is not technically right from wrong….there is only right and left. You will be encouraged to do each side evenly as you develop more strength, the balance will really open doors for choreography/transitions later on. We work around the middle of the pole, spending as much time with the feet off the ground as possible. You will put two and three moves together, as well as focus on transitions so you can flow through the things you learn. Smooth and seamless is important, even if your “style” is more powerful and dynamic. Highly recommend adding conditioning classes (as well as continuing stretch) to accompany this practice.

Prerequisites for this class: Climb, sit, Jasmine, Apprentice, Figurehead, invert, leg hangs.

What you learn: Layback, Iguana, Butterfly, Shoulder mount, Brass monkey, Superwoman, Ayesha, Jade, Yogini, Twisted Grip, and other 2 contact point moves, middle pole combos.

Advanced Pole

Are you so in love with your pole that you’re ready to like, marry it? Make a commitment for the ultimate union and you should prepare your vows, it’s going to be a beautiful ceremony! This class is designed for the obsessed and the professionals. If you’ve truly decided that pole is for you and you’ve put in the time it takes to get here, congratulations! I’m excited to help guide you to the top. We will spend plenty of time flying around the pole, perfecting transitions and extensions, adding to your repertoire. I’ll prepare a combination and we will explore ways to make it individual and perform it in different styles. Come up with a favorite move you already know and we can add on, creating customized sequences. The goal is to make everything look “not difficult” so if there is an area for improvement, you will get ideas on what to do. As long as you do your ‘homework’ you’ll be Cirque perfect in no time (well….less time). Come for fun, for fitness, or to really fly. Highly recommend adding conditioning and stretch classes.

Prerequisites: everything learned in Intermediate...

Aerial invert, shoulder mount, right or left splits, Ayesha, Iguana, and must be comfortable with split grips with the body away from the pole (ex: handspring or twisted grip).

What you will learn: Aerial combinations, release moves, dynamic moves, tricky transitions, making every single move AND transition seem effortless and technically perfect.

Pole Moves

Intermediate level base with plenty of modifications and additions to accommodate for your desired level of difficulty. Classes are designed for those who already have a base knowledge and minimum requirement would be an invert. Jenyne comes up with unique combos for each class and usually has the option to spin or go static, depending on your preference. PLEASE NOTE: All aerial and pole movement classes are designed to maximize the time on the apparatus. Warm-ups are a separate class beforehand or you may get warm on your own prior to class time. Please allow adequate time for your warm-up and cool down when planning your scheduled class.

Floor Choreography

Moving WITHOUT the apparatus with musicality and performance quality. This is one of Jenyne’s favorite classes to teach! You will work up a sweat as you repeat the moves again and again. Dancing between poles (or at the base of any apparatus) is often overlooked… this class is designed to help you feel sexy and confident, or just feel the beat. Hit those accents and roll around the floor. All levels welcome! Music guides the way and Jenyne’s signature sultry ways and sensuality usually come out to play. Call it exotic, feminine, flirty, dirty dancing, whatever.

*Heels not required. Knee pads recommended. No pole or apparatus needed, just ample open floor space.

Abs & Booty

It’s not ALL vanity (lol). This class is designed to strengthen your core and balance out that body. Most of what pole and aerial works is your upper body, the shoulders definitely grow as you go. Active flexibility? Yes please. That comes with power in your legs and glutes. So on TOP of those round peach bum cheeks, you’ll also perform better. This class should definitely be on the schedule more than once per week. In just 3 weeks of teaching this during quarantine, Jenyne herself has noticed amazing results. Join her on the quest to get a better butt….errrr, we mean….firmer….OK so let’s just say you won’t regret signing up for this one.

Stretch

This one is for EVERY BODY! A nice relaxing mat session will leave you feeling buttery. Sink into poses, open out that chest, correct your posture. Much needed after a training or long day at the office. From head to toe, Jenyne covers it all during this hour. You will work the whole bod with attention to your hips, splits, back openers, feet, shoulders and neck. She only recommends that you have a set of yoga blocks and strap if you like. Looking for a more advanced contortion-esque bender/twister/balance challenge? Check out the next class: WALL STRETCH

Wall Stretch

Designed for that “extra push”….an advanced stretch that will get every part of your back and hips. Using techniques on the wall like leaning, laying, handstands, and pushing to get you deeper and elongated while focusing on form. When performing this hour of stretch at least once per week, you are sure to see massive improvement for all your pole and aerial moves. With a background in yoga, gymnastics, circus artistry, and some dance…Jenyne combines all of this into a well balanced routine. Join us every Sunday!

Aerial Hoop

Less tricks, more flow. Jenyne focuses on endurance and performance quality when preparing choreography for this lyra class. Inverts required, level set as intermediate. There are always modifications and additions to decrease or increase level of difficulty. You will learn a new routine each week incorporating new moves and transitions with bends, splits, holds, but it’s mostly about the light and smooth way to move around and in the hoop. No minimum height, single tab or double tab, taped or untaped. Warm-ups are a separate class beforehand or you may get warm on your own prior to class time. Please allow adequate time for your warm-up and cool down when planning your scheduled class.

Aerial Silks

Why silks??? They’re “so technical”. And difficult. They burn. Well….if you don’t already love this apparatus you will learn to. There are so many movements and shapes to explore. Yes, they ARE challenging! Which is fantastic for the body’s stamina to perform any other apparatus (or just function better due to those endorphine highs). Get “high” with Jenyne every Saturday for a mixed levels hour of power working transitions and flexibility moves. It’s somewhat planned as ‘advanced’ yet playful and you can easily modify and work it low. Be sure to give yourself a good warm-up first! (or schedule another class prior to this one)

$60 USD per person (60 minutes) 10-person minimum
